Why write?

I teach, I live among curious, thinking, learning creatures that make my mind spin. It is a good spin, it keeps my mind sharp. But sometimes there are observations that I need to share, outside of my mind. And most of that has to do with how we, as a society, have failed to carry the collective weight of humanity. In the world there is great inequality, that ought not and need not exist. But it is those who live in privilege of time, money, space, nutrition,  and love that refuse to help with these burdens. This is my rage against this collective failure.
